Commission
Commissioning a figurative painting or portrait is easy. I am always happy to discuss your particular requirements and costings with no commitment.
I've outlined a few general points below to consider but whatever your requirements the best way to start is to drop us a line or call to discuss it further.
Figurative Pieces
You may decide that you would like to have a piece of my work which involves something more personal to you, be it a narrative, a particular model, or interior and so on. I'm happy to discuss how we can create a work that represents both my own style and your ideas. Creating a piece in this way can be a very exciting and creative process.
Portraits
After establishing your requirements I will work with at least some sittings directly from life, generally using photography for further reference.
We would arrange an initial meeting, lasting around 2 - 4 hours. I'll make drawings and studies for reference and this time is also spent getting to know the sitter's personality and preferences and to make absolutely certain of the your needs and concerns. I'll then arrange a number of further sittings if required, depending on the nature of the commission.
Framing is usually arranged by me, in keeping with your requirements, but at additional cost. I am happy to travel to you but please note prices do not include travel expenses. All options are quoted on request.
