I have followed your work for some time. I think you are a fantastically gifted painter and I finally bought a lovely piece - Girl in Pink Dress - at the recent art fair.

I was recently asked to contribute to an article in the Christmas issue of Artists & Illustrators Magazine in which I was asked which painting I would most like to find under my Christmas tree - so I said your painting of Georgie, I think its a beautiful painting, but then I could have chosen any of your paintings as they are all beautiful :)

Hi Mary Jane,
I posted a message on here 19 May 08 saying one day I would own one of your pieces... and as of Tuesday I now do! I bought The Everthere from Fairfax gallery in TW and absolutely love it! It sits so well into my house as though it really belongs.
Is it possible for you to drop me a line letting me know your thoughts behind the painting, the models name and any details you may feel I would be able to rant about to my friends when they come over? I would be very grateful, oh and I will send you a picture of the painting in pride of place!

Mary Jane you will love this story! I was leaving Burnham Market today and was drawn into the Fairfax Gallery. I actually said as I was walking up to the front door that “here is where I’ll see real art!”. My concept of art is being refreshed from a 20+ year sabbatical! I have to say that your painting was the most inspirational and emotionally real “painted by the brush of Raphael” I have ever seen! Well done on the discovery of aluminium!. The gallery manager was so informative and generous with his time.

Your painting realy stood out in the threadneedle exhibition, it was one of the few pieces that lived up to my expectations of what the prize would be like in that both it spoke for itself as an image underpined with some kind of concept /narrative and exhibtited an apporpriate level of technical skill for that level of prize. Im suprised it didnt make the shortlist of 7 atleast.
Love the etchings on this site, and the gloved hands. Do you have a mailing list? And do you exhibit here in Brighton? I noticed a few references in your information bit..

Some of the finest brush work I have seen in years. Having visited the Fairfax Gallery yesterday, I was left stunned by the fine detail in Seated Girl (Straight Ahead) and The Everthere.
