The Coeurs Vaillants — Brave Hearts — series sits within a thread that runs through much of my work: the quiet, unshakeable spirit of young women painted in military dress. A private message of resilience, self-possession and grace that connects this pair to the Invincible and Liberty paintings, and to the Brave Heart series that has grown out of the same line of thinking.
The two original paintings in the series sold within days of release, and many of you have been kind enough to get in touch about these pieces so I'm releasing a small Artist's Proof edition of each. I hope you like them!
