GIRL ASHORE — Limited Edition of 25
This was the first painting I sent to Arcadia Contemporary in New York when we began working together — she crossed the water as my envoy, my representative on that distant shore. The model is Georgie Hobday, who appears in several paintings from this period, and whom collectors will recognise from Girl in a Cocked Hat — a painting that later appeared on the cover of Adam Ant's album The Blue Black Hussar in Marrying the Gunner's Daughter, with four works from that series now in Adam Ant's own collection.
