This painting ended up somewhere I never anticipated when I made it. The model is Georgie Hobday, who appears across several works from this period — but Girl in a Cocked Hat took on a life of its own when it was chosen for the cover of Adam Ant's album The Blue Black Hussar in Marrying the Gunner's Daughter. Four paintings from this series are now in Adam Ant's personal collection.
